These seven maps cover selected trout rivers and access guidance. Precise access markers and connected measurement feeds vary by river. A river outline does not establish fishing permission or a right to cross private land. Follow the current Fish & Game or DOC access instructions and leave gates as found.
Tongariro, Tauranga-Taupō, Waitahanui and Hinemaiaia are in the DOC Taupō Fishing District and require its separate licence. Hutt, Mataura and Ōreti use Fish & Game licences; special water and beat arrangements can also apply. Check, Clean, Dry your gear between waterways.
