Using the site

By using wheretoflyfish.com you agree to these terms. The site is run by Nevel Trade Inc.. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

The information is a guide, not a guarantee

• Guide rates, seasons and lodge prices come from outfitters' own pages and booking sites, and they change. Each destination shows when it was last checked. Confirm the price with the outfitter before you book.
• Crowding, difficulty and public access are our editorial judgment, not measurements.
• Fishing licenses, seasons, closures and special regulations are set by each state, province or country. We link the official pages; they, not this site, are the rules. You're responsible for holding a valid license and following them.
• Access on the trout maps comes from public agency data that can be out of date. Posted signs and landowners' wishes take precedence. Don't cross private land without permission.
• River flows and forecasts come from the USGS, the National Weather Service and MET Norway. They're often provisional and can be wrong or late. Never rely on them for your safety: rivers can rise fast, and wading is dangerous.

Outfitters, lodges and other sites

A listing isn't an endorsement, and nobody pays to rank higher. We don't arrange trips and aren't a party to anything you book with a guide, lodge or agency. Links to other sites are for convenience; we don't control them.

Optional accounts and saved plans

All public fishing tools remain available without an account. Keep sign-in codes private and use only an email address you control. Saved plans are private planning notes; they do not book travel, guides, permits or fishing access. Guest saves depend on this browser's storage. You may export or delete your account from My water. We may suspend accounts that abuse sign-in or other site services. An ordinary member account never grants access to site administration.

What you send us

When you send a correction or suggestion, you let us use, edit and publish it as part of the site and its data, without payment. Only send what's true to the best of your knowledge and yours to share. We may decline or remove any submission.

Fair use of the site

Don't try to break or overload the site, get around its limits, or flood the forms with automated submissions. Reading pages with a well-behaved crawler that respects robots.txt is fine.

Responsibility

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Nevel Trade Inc. isn't liable for losses that come from using it or relying on its information, including trip costs, missed bookings, fines or injuries. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
